Religious Education Director

Preschool - Grade 8

I have "grown into" my current position as Director of Religious Education for Preschool - Grade 8.  I was an elementary teacher inthe Waukesha Public Schools before coming to St. Charles.  As my own children were growing up and attending St. Charles School, I became involved in many volunteer activities, one of which was a Catechist in the Religious Education Program.  This eventually led to the positions of Coordinator of the First Sacraments Program and of the Summer Program, and finally to the present position of DRE (PS-8).  From 1990-1993 I also studied for and earned a Master of Arts Degree in Theology from Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corners. 

 I live on Hwy.  K east of Hartland on the dairy farm that my late husband, Jack, operated until 2004. 

My son, Ryan, is a Civil Engineer.  He and his wife, Michelle, and daughters, McKayla and Brenna, live in the Merton School District.  My daughter, Sheila, is a Public Relations / Communications Specialist.  She and her husband, David, and stepdaughter, Willow, live in the Watertown / Ixonia area in a farmhouse which they renovated.

 It is a blessing to be able to spend time with my children and grandchildren as well as with extended family in the area.  It is a privilege to use my background and experience in Education and Theology to serve the families at St. Charles Parish.  I value my association with the many families I've known for years, and I always look forward to welcoming the new families who join our parish and our Faith Formation Programs.
