Hi! I’m Nancy Neuser and I feel blessed to serve God and the St. Charles Parish Community as Adult and Family Ministry Director, and Director of the School Children’s Choir and the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Celebration Choir (an intergenerational family-friendly choir!)
As a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, I am aware that our relationship with Christ grows and develops within family and then, reborn in Baptism, and is shared within the family of the church- the Body of Christ!
I have been a member of St. Charles since my husband of 43 years, Larry, and I and our two children, Laura and Brad moved to the Hartland area in 1976.
A lover of books and the arts, if I’m not engaged in preparing for an Adult and Family program at St. Charles, you’ll probably find me with my nose in a good book, at a play or concert, or out with our “movie group” friends. I also enjoy basketball games (our son is a coach), good food and conversations, swimming, boating, nature walks, and especially spending time with Sophie (4) and Jack (3) [our grandchildren who seem to have a direct line to God!] (Just a friendly warning: I am sooooooooo unabashedly proud of these two little ones, I am likely to bore you with stories if you engage me in conversation about them!) My love of children, music and God also find expression in the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass Intergenerational Choir and the St. Charles School Children’s Choir which I’m blessed to coordinate and direct.
Before coming to St. Charles, I served as Special Project Coordinator and Staff Development (Education) Director at St. Camillus Healthcare Center. I have degrees in Communications and Nursing from Alverno College, Milwaukee – and am a Registered Nurse by profession.
One of my favorite quotes is – “If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.” I’ll be He’s still chuckling! His plans have turned out well. I’m very happy here at St. Charles. I love my work and I enjoy hearing ideas from parishioners – so feel free to drop by my office (by the Resource Center – the grandchildren’s pictures are on the door) or call me anytime on my cell at 262-719-0067 or at church at 262-367-2532.
It is my goal to challenge St. Charles adults and families with programs and resources that inspire and challenge us to fully LIVE our Catholic faith in relationship with Jesus in the “church of the home”…the workplace…the parish….and community…living as Christ lived and serving as Christ served.
I am grateful for this opportunity to be of service and to be a part of this vibrant faith community.
