Women’s Spirituality/Bible Study

The Bad Girls are back…  Join us for the “Really Bad Girls of the Bible”
More lessons from less than perfect women from author/speaker Liz Curtis Higgs

Beginning, Tuesday, September 20th and continuing monthly at 6:30 p.m. (room to be determined).  All women are welcome!

Eight shady ladies from Scripture stroll across the pages of Really Bad Girls of the Bible, proving that when it comes to badness, there’s nothing new under the sun.

Tamar, the widow, used her feminine wiles to claim what was rightfully hers ---  Herodias, Athaliah and Jael committed murder ---
The Adulteress and Bathsheba engaged in scandalous behavior  ---  and the bleeding woman longed to be set free from an illness
that marked her as a sinner and made her untouchable.

Utilizing the book and video, we will delight in the humor and biblical accuracy that Liz brings to the material.  (Who said Bible Study should be dry, boring, and humorless?!)

Once a month we’ll meet and discuss a new really bad girl, utilizing the bible study questions and related scriptures suggested in the book. --- So each session will be new and different, allowing new people to join the group at any time throughout the year!

Come, have fun, share some girlfriend theology, and enjoy a night out!  Call Nancy at 719-0067 to join (or for further questions).  You can also just show up!

“Really Bad Girls of the Bible” is not only a hoot to read, it is full of serious warnings about shaky choices and serious encouragement to take God’s way for our own good.

Future dates are:  Tuesdays, October 18th and November 15th. (Note:  We will begin with Athaliah: Bad & Proud of It—Chapter 4.)
